Types of Hybrid Cars

engine, hybrid

Micro-hybrid

Micro hybrids are far from true hybrid cars. We call them cars equipped with the popular start-stop system. They differ slightly from cars with conventional combustion engines in that they have a different starter and alternator, as well as a battery with different parameters, which better tolerates frequent starts.

Incomplete hybrid

Mild hybrids are equipped with an electric motor, but it only serves as an assistant to the combustion engine. It can support it when starting off or provide an additional dose of power during rapid acceleration. However, cars of this type are not able to move using only electric drive.

Full hybrid

Full hybrid vehicles can be powered by either a combustion engine or an electric motor at any given time. This means that the driver can choose a driving mode in which the car is powered only by electricity.

Plug-in hybrid

Plug-in hybrids are closer to pure electric cars. As in their case, the batteries can also be charged from external chargers. Apart from that, they are practically indistinguishable from cars with full hybrid drive.

The vast majority of cars in the MobiCars offer are equipped with the Start-Stop system. Fully hybrid Toyota Auris are also at your disposal. Have a nice trip!
